Session
All appointments are scheduled for 50-60 minutes and are $90. Fee for Shonishin treatment of children up to age 8 is $25 to $45 (depending on age) for half hour appointment. Student and senior rates available for those in need. [Some other sliding scale available when possible, please phone to discuss.] Please note that there is a 24 hour cancellation policy.
I'm in the Seattle office Monday through Thursday. If you wish to make an appointment, phone 206.528.8498 [vm] and leave your name, phone number, snail mail address and/or email address clearly so that a health questionnaire, HPPA forms and other details about the clinic can be sent to you. Insurance
I do not accept insurance except for motor vehicle Personal Injury Protection claims (PIP) (at $90/hr). I have elected to not be a provider for any of insurance plans, however, as a licensed health care provider, I am happy to provide HICFA forms to you for submission to your insurance carrier. Payment is due at time of service unless other financial arrangements have been made in advance.
Training and Accreditations
Brenda Loew, M.Ac., L.Ac., specializes in Japanese acupuncture techniques, primarily Toyohari Meridian Therapy, Shonishin and Manaka Yin-yang Channel Balancing Therapy. Practicing in Seattle, Washington, she was on the faculty at the Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NIAOM) from 1994 to 2002 and now teaches continuing education classes at Bastyr University and Wu Hsing Tao in Seattle, Pacific Rim College in Victoria, B.C. Canada, and other places around the country. She has studied Toyohari Meridian Therapy since 1994 with advanced studies in the U.S., Europe and Japan, and is an approved U.S. Instructor for the Toyohari Association. She is President of the Toyohari Association of North America (2001-present).
